The Slidell Heritage Festival has 12 board members. Our board oversees all aspects of the festival, including vendors, entertainment, live music, and the overall event operations.
The chosen charities that will benefit from our 2026 Fundraising efforts are detailed below. For more information on each of these, click their name below to access their website:
The Slidell Police Association:
The Association was formed in 2005 to assist Slidell Police Officers and the City of Slidell citizens by bridging the gap between the police and citizens. The organization holds charity events such as Cook-Offs and Toys from Cops. They also help police officers and their families with tragic events.
Boy Scouts Cypress District:
Scouts BSA is where youth develop outdoor survival skills, self-confidence, and ethics through youth-planned activities with increased attention to service, community engagement, and leadership. The scout slogan is Do a Good Turn Daily. Some of these good turns have included serving at special events honoring veterans and law enforcement or conducting service projects such as beautifying a school, recycling, and rebuilding a nature trail.
Intergrative Warrior Assistance:
Integrative Warrior Assistance (IWA) exists to ensure that first responders and their families do not have to walk the path of healing alone—and that they have access to care that truly understands the cost of the call and the possibility of healing beyond it.

Our Friends Closet:
We are a volunteer‑run nonprofit serving homeless, low‑income, and unaccompanied students across St. Tammany Parish. We partner directly with school counselors, teachers, and administrators to provide essential items such as hygiene products, emergency clothing, socks, undergarments, and ready‑to‑eat snacks. These basic necessities help students stay clean, confident, and prepared for the school day—removing barriers that often affect attendance, focus, and overall well‑being. Because our organization is fully volunteer‑operated and takes no salaries, donations go directly toward meeting student needs.
Our mission is simple: make sure no child in our community goes without the essentials required to learn with dignity. What began as two friends filling small gaps in local schools has grown into a parish‑wide support system that now serves 60 schools each year. Together, we can ensure that every student—regardless of their circumstances—feels seen, supported, and cared for by their community.

Community Christian Concern:
We provide food, clothing, shelter, emergency assistance, and basic necessities to those in need. They have a food pantry, thrift shore and men’s housing center serving over 10,000 people in 2025. Funds will be used to provide rental and utility assistance, hygiene, tents, and sleeping bags to those in need in our community.
